Here are the steps I've taken:
1) From the 'Upgrade Code Redeemed' email that I received from Spectrasonics, I clicked on the 'Omnisphere 2 Download Manager for MAC' link
2) I downloaded 'Omnisphere_2_Upgrade_Download_Manager.dmg' to my desktop (file size is 1,508,957 bytes)
3) I double clicked on 'Omnisphere_2_Upgrade_Download_Manager.dmg' to mount Spectrasonics Download Manager
4) I launched the Spectrasonics Download Manager from within the dmg file
5) I click the 'Open' button after a prompt shows 'Spectrasonics Download Manager is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?'
6) The following error message then appears:
'Spectrasonics Download Manager quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.'
My mac is running OSX El Capitan Version 10.11.6
